Millenium Bridge at St. Paul's Community

Milleniumbridge

Spans across the Thames from St. Paul's to the Tate Modern. Although it suffered certain engineering problems when first opened, they have all been rectified now. This is a footbridge and is a great way to cross the river between two famous landmarks.

Wong Kei Restaurant at Picadilly Circus Community

Wongkei For the unique experience in Chinese food, do not miss a visit to Wong Kei restaurant. People who have been there are divided into two distinct camps, those who loved it, and those who do not. Such a polarity deserves an explanation. There is no doubt the food is first class (try the Singapore Fried Noodles, something you can not even get in Singapore Foot in mouth). The problem most people have is the service, which has a brand of its own. Do not expect to have your own table in the corner, where you want to sit next to the Fountain with the running water. You are either told to go "upstair", or "downstair". So much so that the staff there all wear T-shirts with these words across the back (these T-shitrs can be purchased, incidentally). The exceptionally low price is the other factor, which obviously strikes a chord with the conscious budget travellers.

Belgo Centraal Restaurant at Covent Garden Community

Belgo I love Moules Mariniere, and what can be better than washing that down with a bottle of the finest cherry beer ? Try out Belgo, the famous Belgian Restaurant which serves the finest continental steak and kilos of mussels marinated in white wine. Belgian beers need no introduction for the connoisseurs, but a bucket of Hoegaarden will do fine for me, thank you. Not sure why the waiters all dress up as monks though.

River Cafe at Hammersmith Community

Rivercafe Jamie Oliver was discovered here.  Rose Gray and Ruth Rogers's approach to good food is by sourcing the best ingredient.  The menu is Italian and you may find yourself dining with a celebrity on the next table.

Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club at Leicester Square Community

Ronniescott The atmosphere, the neon lights, and the fantastic mellow Jazz oozing out smoothly from this legendary Jazz Club. You can't smoke any more, but the music is still as great as ever. Check out the the performances and podcasts etc. at www.ronniescotts.co.uk
